What to Invest in the Risky Market

Are you feeling the jitters about your investment portfolio or in a quandary about what is safest to invest your well-earned funds in? Here are some basic rules in investing which should help you decide where to put your money and feel good about it.
First of all, never put your eggs in one basket. This is Investing 101. It doesn’t matter how promising or tempting the offer is, it would be foolish to risk all your money on one account. Those Hollywood films about striking it rich in one go is just fantasy and not worth taking a chance on. Keep in mind that all investments have an element of risk, and even a 10% risk ratio can still mean you lose money.
Secondly, what is your line of expertise? What do you know a lot about? Decide on this answer with all seriously, and think of investment opportunities in that area. You have a great chance of finding the right investment and you are in a position to know what will probably work and what is doomed to fail. Use your expertise to your advantage. It may not be mainstream investing like currency, precious metals, or the stocks, but it’s your field and therefore, your territory.
Third, avoid investing based on emotional pressure. When friends and relatives find out that you have extra cash for investing, they will come and ask for you to consider their proposals. Be kind enough to give it some consideration but never decide to invest based on how you feel about the person. This has high risk written all over it unless you treat it like a business transaction and review all the merits.
Finally, decide on an amount you can risk losing and work with that amount only. For investment banker or financial agent, there will always be some conflict on which would be the best type of investment. Precious metals like gold, silver, and platinum are always suggested since they rarely dip in value. Stocks are like feathers in the wind unless you are talking about an institution like Microsoft or Apple. Currencies are also risky but can be depended on if you find the right FOREX to buy. If you barely know anything about the FOREX market, get an trusted person to act as your mentor and learn the business as fast as you can.
